You've likely heard the health saying: "don't drink your calories". You may be surprised to learn how much sugar and calories can be packed in your favorite drinks, and how drinking your calories can affect your diet goals.
According to a study published in the National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, people who drink sugary beverages do not feel as full as if they had eaten the same calories from food. That same study also shows that those people did not compensate for their extra liquid calories by eating less food.
