After months of social distancing and isolation due to the pandemic, it can take a toll on your mental health. It's normal to feel stressed, anxious, or lonely. It's more important now than ever to start focusing on your wellbeing which is why we are sharing some tips on how to maintain your mental wellbeing.

Stay connected with friends & family

Just because you can't see your loved ones in person doesn't mean you can't still connect with them. Reach out to your friends and family and see if they want to FaceTime or Zoom. Keeping in touch can help prevent feelings of loneliness or isolation.

Embrace routine

Time is weird during quarantine and it can be hard to just stay at home every single day. It's important to create a daily routine to follow as it can help you maintain a sense of normalcy.

Get some exercise

Now is a great time to start getting in shape. With more time on our hands, exercise can be great for your mental health. It's also one of safest activities you can do since it's outside. Whether it's a walk or run, get moving to stay healthy – it feels good to get out energy when you’ve been stuck inside.

Spend time outside

Time outdoors has physical and mental health benefits, including reduced stress. After being stuck inside, it'll feel nice to breath the fresh air and enjoy nature.

Limit news intake

It seems like there is a lot of breaking news these days with cancelations and announcements on how things are changing. It can be easy to get caught up in it but too much news intake can make you feel overwhelmed and stressed.

Limit social media use

Beware of information overload on social media, too – try not to overdo it. It's good to take a break every once in a while.

Practice mindfulness and meditation

Take some time for stillness, observe your breathing, or start a routine meditation practice.
