Treat every day as a gift If you begin each day grateful just to be, you’re already ahead of the game. Wake up reminding yourself that every day is a gift - it’s yours to unwrap.

Start a gratitude journal Each day think of something good that happened and write it down. Even if it is something really small such as ‘I enjoyed my coffee this morning’. This task will be hard at times, but it is incredibly beneficial. Look back on the tough days and remember how positivity triumphed in the face of negativity.

Look for the ‘silver lining’ There will be days where nothing seems to go right. The kids are sick, the house is a mess and the day is long. Think of the glass half full. The kids are sick, but at least you’re able to help them. The house is a mess, but you have a roof over your head. The day is long, but you got through it. Your mindset is your best ally.
